MAYO, Iona Augusta--Age 93. Died Monday, April 9, 2001. Preceded in death by Parents John W. and Mary Irene Elliott Davis; Husband, Jesse Mayo; Daughter, Lois Taylor and Son Kenneth Mayo. Survived by Sons: Ray (Betty) Mayo, Clarksville, TN, Terry (Pat) Mayo, Hendersonville, TN, Donald (Mary) Mayo, Atlanta, GA; Daughters Elwin (Clyde) Norris, Franklin, TN, June (Carl) Davenport, Goodlettsville, TN, Iris (Harold) Skelton, Franklin, TN, Mary Ellen Brown, Nashville, TN; Devoted Care-giver Mildred Davidson of Ashland City, TN; 22 Grandchildren, 39 Great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Wendell Byrd and Bro. Jim Franks officiating. Grandsons: David Norris, Jesse Mayo, Steven Taylor, Hal Skelton, Ken Mayo, Jimmy Mayo and Clark Brown will serve as active pallbearers. Granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be in the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City TN.
